MAIN FEATURES

  • Annual distribution of dividends from the 2nd year: 50% of fund results, limited to 3% per year

  • Minimum investment of 5 years (from the date when the visa is granted)
  • Mandatory permanence in Portuguese territory for at least 7 days a year (7 days in the first year, and 14 days every two years)
  • Valid for 2 years after granting and another 3 years after
  • Can apply for Definitive Residence and/or Portuguese Citizenship after 5 years
  • Grants residence permit for Portugal and free circulation in Europe – Schengen Area
  • Can include spouses and children (provided they are financially dependent))


NHR (NON-HABITUAL RESIDENT)

  • Tax Regime that is extremely favourable for new tax residents
  • Regime applies for the next 10 years of residence
  • The beneficiary can be from any country, but cannot have resided in Portugal in the last 5 years
  • Simple registration (on-line)
  • Mandatory permanence of at least 183 days in Portuguese territory in any 12-month
